This 3-hour ethics workshop is designed for Louisiana Licensed Professional Counselors and examines ethical “fault lines” in clinical practice; areas where good intentions, evolving practice demands, and professional judgment can unintentionally create ethical risk. Grounded in the ACA Code of Ethics, the Louisiana LPC Board rules, and relevant state statutes, the session explores contemporary ethical concerns frequently associated with complaints and disciplinary action. Using real-world scenarios, participants will analyze issues related to boundaries, scope of practice, documentation, billing, supervision, professional accountability, and other practice challenges. Emphasis is placed on recognizing high-risk situations, navigating ethical gray areas, applying ethical standards, and engaging in ethical decision-making proactively to protect clients, counselors, and the counseling profession.

The Louisiana Counseling Association (LCA) is approved by the Louisiana Licensed Professional Board of Examiners to offer continuing education clock hours. The Zoom link for the session will be emailed to registrants the week of the workshop.

**You may submit your registration anytime until Monday, May 4th, 2026. Registration and payment will be collected by the LPCPAC website.**
